DEYE inverter off-grid setup, connecting a pull-start generator

Описание к видео DEYE inverter off-grid setup, connecting a pull-start generator

I have a 8kW DEYE inverter employed in an off-grid setup, i.e. it's not grid tied or connected to the grid at all.
For backup purposes there is an old pull-start petrol generator, which I have connected to the GRID input on the inverter.

The generator is hooked up as follows:
E: Generator earth connected to the earth busbar and ground spike (not connected to the earth terminal of the GRID input on the inverter.
L: Generator live connected to inverter live in the GRID input.
N: Generator neutral connected to inverter neutral on the GRID input.

I originally had the generator hooked up to the GEN input of the inverter, but could not monitor the voltage/frequency, and could not get the inverted to accept the generator.

Moving the generator to the GRID input allowed me to monitor the incoming voltage/frequency and it seems there is more flexibility in setting tolerances for the GRID input.

Once the generator is started, I switch on the 2-pole isolator breaker to connect the generator to the inverted GRID input. Then it takes about a minute or two before the inverter locks onto the generator.

Once the inverted has locked onto the generator, it seems to be fairly stable and then you can start adjusting settings.

The video goes through the settings I've used and had some success with.
