Martin VS Blueridge 000-18 vs BR-143

Описание к видео Martin VS Blueridge 000-18 vs BR-143

In today's Martin VS Blueridge comparison video, Maury puts the Martin 000-18 up against the Blueridge BR-143. The Martin 000-18 and Blueridge BR-143 are extremely similar in terms of construction, but they are NOT identical. In some other cases, one can compare a specific Martin to an equivalent Blueridge, where all their relevant specs are the same. Blueridge BR-163 vs Martin OM-28 is one such example, and you can check out that comparison video here:    • Martin OM-28 vs Blueridge BR-163

In the case of 000-18 VS BR-143, MOST of the relevant specs are the same across both models ... they are both 000/OM size guitars, with solid sitka spruce on the top and solid mahogany back & sides. However, one key difference remains between the Blueridge BR-143 and the Martin 000-18 and it CAN factor in to how theses might sound a bit different: scale length. The Martin 000-18 is 24.9" short scale 000. The Blueridge BR-143 has a longer scale length of 25.6". A more appropriate comparison would be to play the BR-143 up against a Martin OM-18 ... but that model does not exist in the current Martin catalog. From time to time, Maury's Music orders custom shop OM-18s, but at the time of this video we did not have one in stock.
