Some narcissists can and often do move on quickly from one relationship to another, even appearing to forget their previous partner completely. They may remember one or two things about you they liked or admired, but inevitably the “YOU” no longer exist to them, the parts of you they liked, they may take into their next relationship. This is due to their lack of empathy and focus on self-validation, making new relationships a priority. In an interview with Brad Pitt he makes a good illustration of this through explaining how he treats the roles he’s played in past movies and how he quickly moves onto the next project and forgets about the previous film he starred in. It’s a chilling comparison and not meant to suggest #bradpitt is a #narcissist.

Narcissists struggle to understand and share the emotions of others. They may not grasp the depth of hurt or pain their actions cause, making it easier to move on.

Narcissist tend to Focus on ones Self:
Their primary focus is on their own needs and desires, and they may view relationships as tools to fulfill these needs, rather than as genuine connections. Once they are no longer getting what they want, they can easily move on to a new source of supply.

Narcissist can have Selective Memory and memory gaps filled in with #confabulation.
Narcissists tend to remember and focus on the positive experiences they had, while conveniently forgetting or rewriting negative ones. This allows them to maintain a positive self-image and avoid acknowledging their flaws or mistakes.
