Subatomic Particles of an Atom | Chemistry

Описание к видео Subatomic Particles of an Atom | Chemistry

This lecture is about subatomic particles of an atom like protons, electrons and neutrons.

There are three subatomic particles of an atom is protons, electrons and neutrons. Every atom contains three main areas. The central part of an atom is called nucleus. There are circular paths around the nucleus called shells or energy levels. In any atom, 90% region is empty.
The subatomic particles like protons and neutrons stay in the nucleus and never leave the atom. The subatomic particle like electron revolve around the nucleus in fixed circular paths called shells or energy levels just like planets revolve around the sun.
The mass of a proton is 1 atomic mass unit, the mass of a neutron is also 1 atomic mass unit and the mass of an electron is so small that is considered as 0 atomic mass unit.
The subatomic particles like protons are positively charged particles, electrons are negatively charged particles and neutrons are neutral particles.

To learn more about subatomic particles of an atom like electrons, protons and neutrons, watch this lecture till the end.
