However, the UK government, in its quest for justice, plans to introduce new amendments in the Criminal Justice Bill to explicitly classify the creation of non-consensual sexually suggestive images as a criminal offense. This means that even if the images are not shared, the act of creating them alone could result in prosecution. Offenders could face up to two years in prison.

In the University of Hong Kong incident, if there had been no whistleblowing, the over 700 photos of X would not have caused any harm to the 25 women. Any normal person would want to be someone else’s ideal partner in more people’s dreams, unless they were living in a vacuum. These photos only caused harm to the 25 women after they were reported and seen by more third parties. Therefore, in this incident, not only did someone betray others’ trust and betray the friendship of classmates, but they also committed evil under the guise of morality. The shameful report caused harm to the other 25 women.

A healthy and normal society must never use greater evil to prevent lesser evil, nor should it persecute private rights.
