Seiko Did It Again. This Is The Ultimate Seiko Willard: The SPB265 Ice Diver Special Edition

The Seiko 6105 is a historically significant watch as it's been a part of countless exploration missions, scientific discoveries, and military deployments. On top of that Seiko created a unique case shape that locked the 6105 into it's icon status. So it's no surprise that Seiko recreated the 6105 through the release of the modern day "Captain Willard" (named after Captain Willard, a character in the movie Apocalypse Now). Just like the 62MAS recreation that Seiko released at the same time (SPB143), It became one of the most popular Seiko dive watches.

Then Seiko released the watch I have here, the SPB265, as part of the Ice Divers Special Edition collection, and it features and absolutely incredible dial. So now that I've been wearing this for over 2 weeks now, I think that this watch is not only the best Seiko Willard, but one of the best modern Seiko divers out there.

In this video, I'm going to get into why I think that this ice diving Willard is the ultimate Willard by getting into the details of what it's like on the wrist and what the dial, case, and bracelet are like in real life. Also I will compare what the size of the Willard is like compared to the popular SPB143 and SPB313. But of course, like any other Seiko, it's not perfect so I will get into the negative parts of the watch that bother me.
