ALLENDALE -- On this episode of NorthJerseySports.com's Where in North Jersey is Rich Barton?: Preseason Edition, Rich visits the Northern Highlands girls soccer team.

By most program's standards the Highlanders enjoyed a great season last year. They won their first 23 games, including the Bergen County championship and North 1, Group 3 title, and were ranked No. 1 in the country. But Highlands is not most programs and a stunning 1-0 defeat at the hands of Colts Neck in the Group 3 final spoiled 2015.

Rich talks to Highlanders' 15th year coach Tara Madigan along with Boston College-bound senior defender Julia Homan, who is a preaseason All-American selection, and senior midfielder Eva Hurm, who has committed to Notre Dame.
