Evans GMAD Bass Drum Head Compared With Remo Powerstroke 3

On my vintage Tama Imperialstar bass drum I've used the Remo Powerstroke 3 head for several years, but I wanted something a little more punchy. I decided to try the Evans GMAD bass head instead, and then compare the two side by side in a recording. The GMAD head has a unique foam ring muffling system. Ultimately they are both excellent heads, but which you prefer may depend on the sound characteristics you wish to achieve.
