Tail - SUNMI (Full Band Rock Cover)

It's basically a Muse track, now.

I doubt I'll ever be this productive ever again. This song was definitely another miracle: I managed to arrange, track, mix, film, and edit the whole project in under 24 hours. Or, maybe I'm getting better at this whole thing. I definitely got a little better at mixing for sure, though. I feel more confident in my decisions and the whole process has somewhat defined structure now--which feels like a total 180 from the pporappippam mix. And I think the work is better for it.

I didn't think too much about it when it was released, but after an incredible amount of faith was placed in me (thanks, Ajah Neely), I tried giving it a fair shot. Initially, I was going to cover just the pre-chorus up to the chorus as a proof of concept for a series of short covers (so I don't take so long making these). In the end, I just ended up doing the whole thing.

Since I wasn't planning on filming this weekend, I simplified the shot composition to make the video production much quicker. No second angles, no picture-in-picture, just a camera on a tripod. Turned out okay, I think.

Man, I wish I can record actual drums for this. Not for sound quality, I just really like the groove I wrote for this song. Would've been a blast to play live.
