Saturday 7th September 2024 we hop aboard L14 at 09.37am for a special recreating service 92 Bishop Auckland to Newton Aycliffe service that was ran by The Eden bus company from 20 yards from the original terminus stop

PPT 446P - Leyland Leopard PSU3 4R with Plaxton Derwent 55-seat bus body (1976)
New to Summerson Bros (The Eden) West Auckland in 1976 as part of a batch of 4 bought that year. The bus is known as Leopard 14 (L14) .
The Eden bought the first and last Derwent's built by Plaxton.

In 1993 L14 was sold to Bygone Bus, Biddenden, Kent. After service with Bygone, L14 was bought by Steve Foster of Autumn Leaf preservation (now Yesterbus). After some years in store the bus was offered to Graeme Scarlett the current owner who has spent a number of years overseeing its restoration to it current condition in the livery of original owner.

Graeme Scarlett is recreating service with another two of his other preserved vehicles today in his ownership.
