Описание к видео We Got Video Games From Santa! SNES | Gamecube | Super Famicom | Wii

In this episode, Christmas comes early as we unbox our December 2023 box from Video Games Monthly.

Christmas time is here. Happiness and cheer. One of the times of year when more people get video games than any other time collectively. We have been subscribers to Video Games Monthly, a monthly subscription service that can send you three, four, five, or ten retro video games right to your doorstep, for many months. It's like getting a piece of Christmas delivered to your doorstep each month. We currently subscribe to the three-games-a-month plan for 34.99 a month, and we were excited to see what our box for December 2023 would include.

What we got:
Super Nintendo
Tetris 2
Value: $7

Super Famicom
Return of Double Dragon
Value: $26

Nintendo GameCube
True Crime, Streets of LA
Value: $9

Nintendo Wii
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
Value: $6

Total Box Value:
$48

What do we think?
I love the fact that the guys left the value post-it note on Return of Double Dragon for the Super Famicom. Whether it was delivered or not I absolutely love this. I will say between both cartridge games they were very clean, from the labels to the pins. The Super Famicom cartridge shells are notorious for being dirty, and Return of Double Dragon was no different. This wasn't anything terrible, I would consider this typical condition for a Super Famicom game.

The two disc-based games hold very little interest to me. I've never been into the True Crime games, and Medal of Honor Heroes 2, while I think I've played in the past, I don't have any real interest in playing in the future. It is a bit of a bummer that they did not include manuals in the cases, and this is nothing against Video Games Monthly on this it's just what these games were when they got them. These will easily wind up back in the flip, trade pile, and I may actually use these to pick up a second copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for my youngest daughter to have on her Nintendo Switch Lite she is getting for Christmas.

One interesting little Easter egg was the fact that Return of Double Dragon actually had two different color screws holding the case together. That tells me someone was inside of this game before and dropped or lost one of the screws. I think that is absolutely hilarious and I love the fact that the average person would probably not have noticed this, but I would.

The overall value was helped by one game in this box, but I will tell you the highest-value game is not necessarily the one I most looking forward to playing. I am legitimately excited to play Tetris 2, I've never played it and I've heard amazing things about it. I love Tetris, it's a game that I can sit and play for 5 minutes, or 5 hours depending on my mood, and having Tetris 2 for the Super NES is a great addition to the collection.

Have you ever subscribed to a video game monthly blind box? What have your experiences been if you have? And what do you think of this month's box? Which would be the first game you would play? Sure your thoughts in the comments.
