Tutorial 2. Bracket Design and Generative Design with Fusion 360

Описание к видео Tutorial 2. Bracket Design and Generative Design with Fusion 360

Through a simple example, I show how we can optimize the design of a bracket using Generative Design.

What is Generative Design?
Generative Design is a comprehensive design exploration process that utilizes algorithms to generate a wide array of design possibilities based on defined goals, constraints, and objectives. It's a more holistic approach that considers various design aspects, including material usage, manufacturing constraints, aesthetic preferences, and functional requirements.
Key characteristics of Generative Design include:
• Exploration of Design Space: It explores a broad design space by generating numerous design alternatives, often producing unconventional and innovative solutions.
• Consideration of Multiple Parameters: Generative Design considers multiple parameters such as material properties, manufacturing methods, cost considerations, and more, allowing for a multidimensional optimization.
• Iterative Evolution: The generated designs undergo an iterative evolution process, refining and improving the design solutions over multiple generations to achieve the defined objectives.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: It provides flexibility to engineers and designers to iteratively refine and select the most suitable design based on various criteria, including aesthetics and manufacturability.
