Learn how to sign a variety of drinks using American Sign Language.

Some signs for drinks are initialized such as : water, juice and the sign for chocolate (when signing hot chocolate or chocolate milk). For these signs you use the letters "W", "J" and "C" respectively.
If you would like to sign a specific fruit juice, you need to include the sign for the fruit before you sign the word "juice".

While there is one sign for the word "soda", there are plenty of variations for different types of soda. Some sodas are initialized for example; using the letter "S" for Sprite and the letters "R" and "B" for root beer but all of the varieties can be fingerspelled so that there is no misunderstanding. Often signs are regional which means it depends on where you live and what the Deaf Community chooses to use for a particular sign in that area.
