Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) WALKTHROUGH

The proposed Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) will facilitate decongestion in Mumbai by improving connectivity between Island city and main land (Navi Mumbai) and for development of Navi Mumbai Region was envisaged about 30 years back. This Link will facilitate smooth and faster communication in Mumbai and Main Land (Navi Mumbai). Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) played an important role in the planning of this project.

Government of Maharashtra appointed MMRDA as the implementing agency vide Resolution dated 4 Feb 2009 and decided that necessary funds will be raised by MMRDA. The Government of Maharashtra declared the MTHL project as "Regional Development Project" vide Resolution dated 08 June 2011 authorising MMRDA to undertake this project on Public-Private Partnership (PPP) with 20% Viability Gap Funding from Government of India.
