15 Dead in Mumbai Boat Tragedy After Navy Speedboat Collision | Investigation Underway | NewsX

A tragic collision between a Navy speedboat and the Neel Kamal ferry off the Mumbai coast has claimed the lives of 15 people. The Navy vessel, undergoing engine trials, lost control and struck the passenger ferry near Karanja, which was en route from Gateway of India to Elephanta Island. Investigations are underway by Mumbai’s Colaba Police, who are questioning the Navy's decision to conduct trials on a heavily trafficked route. Safety concerns are also rising due to the ferry’s overload beyond its capacity.
