A little bit out of my comfort zone this one, but I piece I thoroughly enjoy playing. Dieterich Buxtehude was a Danish or German organist and composer of the Baroque period, whose works are typical of the North German organ school. His exact birthplace is unknown. As a composer who worked in various vocal and instrumental idioms, Buxtehude's style greatly influenced other composers, such as Johann Sebastian Bach and George Frideric Handel. In 1705, Bach famously walked 200 miles to hear him play! This is one of Buxtehude's most well known organ pieces, I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for listening.
