Guitar Tone Tuesday: Ep 208 - This Eastman E6SS-TC Is A  Smokin' Tone Monster!!!

I know I play a lot of Eastman guitars on the channel, but some of them are just so darn special that I can't help but showcase them. This is for the simple reason that I believe in what this brand is doing. All of those aspects are rolled into the construction and sound of this E6SS-TC; a slope shoulder that offers something a little more modern, for those who are on a quest for such a guitar.

The E6SS-TC takes the E6 wood paring (a sytka spruce top with mahogany back and sides) but now the SS designation changes the standard dreadnaught to a slope shoulder shape. This guitar also features a shorter 24.75 inch scale-length when compared to a normal square shouldered dreadnaught, with a 1/11-16 inch nut width. 

To top off the classic aesthetic we have a fire striped pickguard and ivaroid style binding. Importantly, the E6SS-TC veers from tradition with its thermo cured spruce top and ebony fretboard/bridge (features that I think give it a more modern voice when compared to many SS style instruments).
