PLEASE READ to understand (lyrics below) - By request for PinkCyanWell - a very cool song and another hidden plot vid (also goes along with my HP fanfic series, especially with 'The Prelude'). : ) Story follows lyrics, told mostly in Erik’s POV, some in Christine’s. Cram-packed with symbolism - for those who don’t like the fantasy idea of the HP, just watch and hopefully enjoy - (You may not wish to read further). Symbolism - Clips: “wash away my colors” - I show the monkey music box (symbolizing Erik) - when box was red & gold in “I Remember” (colors of the kingdom, showing he was still in residence as ruler there - and the same music box at end, showing the monkey still dressed in bold red (his color) - but the box itself having turned to black (having lost his kingdom - the Opera House). The 1st time the lines “my demons” are sung I showed the cloak lining change from gold to black, during Il Muto, when the Phantom spirit takes over Erik… 2nd time lines “we are one and the same” are sung, I showed the two statues top center stage depicting Erik (robed and hooded Angel with halo) and Christine to his left, both of them as Music, reigning together - (woman clutching cross while holding his hand - same green statue is at cemetery - green/queen per Masquerade song) - both statues symbolizing the king and his queen… I translated the Spanish subtitles shown on DVD - only for Erik’s and Christine’s lines (not Raoul’s) - though not sure who sings the last bit, since the top line (“It's not just another trophy on your wall”) - sounds more like something Raoul would sing to Erik at that time, not the other way around, but the way it’s set up looks as if Raoul sings the line “I’m sorry you’re suffering” - not Erik. However, for this vid, think of it as Erik singing that line to Christine or vice versa. Here are the subtitles shown on DVD (translations via google translate) the first line is what they sang, the second is the subtitle they showed with it, the third is the translation:

Other symbolism - blue used in effects, etc = music (when it’s erratic, there’s conflict, the rings of blue are her trying to call to him/encourage him away from the darkness - otherwise the color shows their unity and love … red is his color, green her color - flashes of these show excitement and white is the light she brings to him. Gold (at the very end) is their color together in unity and as rulers of music. The black mask (symbolic of villain) = phantom spirit. The white mask (symbolic of a cruel ruler) = Erik.
