Decorah North Eagles ~Fish Delivery Drops To Ground 🐟 DNF Retrieves, Juvies Chase Mom! SLOMO 6.29.24

The day begins with DN17 & DN18 waiting for their breakfast & calling out for a parent to bring a fish. DNF heeds the call & flies in with a nice trout! DN18 mobs her but the fish falls to the ground. I included this in Slo-mo to see it better. DNF drops to the ground and starts to eat some of the fish but the kids are screaming loudly - she takes the fish and flies off & DN17 & DN18 give chase around the pasture. DNF brings it back to the branch and this time DN18 is able to grab the fish before it falls & before he slips off the branch. DN18 flies off with the prize! That happens in a split second - well done DN18!

Later in the morning, a parent is seen flying in with a huge wade of nesting material but there is no nest for it so they land on the branch. DN18 rushes over to claim it and DN17 will join, but they soon discover that the delivery was not food, Some of the nesting material falls to the ground as DN18 is looking for a fish in there! I am sure that was a big disappointment for both juvies! Every day is a learning experience for DN17 & DN18 to prepare them for surviving in the wild. Thank you for watching!
