5th Bench Lake | Sawtooth Wilderness

On October 31st, 2022 (yep, Halloween) I fell off the porch roof falling about 9 feet hitting the edge of my pickup truck. The truck got dented, I got multiple broken ribs and a punctured lung. So it has taken me a fair bit to get back in the swing of things. And missing the entire 2022/23 ski season, my winter exercise regimen, was really hard on me.

I am just now recovered, almost completely, from that fall.

This is a short and pretty easy hike up and back to 5th Bench Lake in the Sawtooth Wilderness in Idaho. And this is the first silent hiking video I've ever done. The views are amazing and I never saw a single person on this trail.

Barring any more broken bones I ought to be able to get back into the swing of things again. Wish me luck!
