the night we met

As a surprise for MaryV's 21st birthday, I commissioned a queer illustrator, Emma Magsamen, to animate the night we met.

If you don't know the whole story, MaryV and I tell the bumpy beginning to end in a captioned video titled "How We Met" on my Youtube. There are two parts because...well, it was a rocky beginning.

Now this past month, I worked with Emma to lay out the story details from body (pre-testosterone), pronouns at the time, cochlear implants, MaryV's freckle lips, height, and our exact outfits that night.

It was an enormous pleasure to work with another queer artist on this very queer story, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome!

I hope you all enjoy as much as I hope MaryV will.
