This story is about a guy named Tobias, hes a designer whos pretty much burned out from everything. Five years back, he ghosted this really odd woman he met on Tinder, right in the middle of their coffee date, which was super awkward I think. He just left her there, feeling like a coward or something.

Now the company he works at is failing bad, and turns out shes the new CEO. Shes intense, like ruthless and way more competent than anyone expected. At first, Tobias is just filled with dread, imagining all the ways shell make his life hell for what he did. It starts with this psychological stuff, her messing with his head, then he ends up exiled to the basement, doing grunt work.

Theres this whole thing with tree metaphors, about rot in the roots or whatever, it gets a bit symbolic and messy. But then he figures out shes not really out for revenge. Its more like she wants results, actual fixes for the company. Some buried paperwork comes up, old stuff that saves everything somehow, and they have to team up, even though its uneasy.

I guess the point is, some people from your past dont haunt you to punish. They come back to make you work, put you to use. It feels kind of unresolved in parts, like what happens next with them.
