Benny's Car Wash: Perkins Rd Site

*Within a few weeks after filming this, some of the equipment was replaced*

Benny's location on Perkins Rd is generally regarded as the birthplace of modern express car washing. It was the first car wash to combine use of pay stations and free vacuums. Technically it is a flex serve as this site has an interior belt. The site also has a gas station, reasonably large C-store, and a quick lube facility.

The wash tunnel is about 120' long. It was equipped with a Sonny's spyder module, SF50 side washers, OMNI II high pressure arch, SMF807 mitter, and SFB28 side washers during my visit. This site also had ProtoVest IP330 and TopShot blowers and a pair of Belanger DuraShiners. All chemicals used at this location are from QualChem, with Luminaura included with the top wash.
