Bell AH-1G Cobra / HueyCobra / Snake - A Short History

The single-engine Bell AH-1G Cobra, also known as the Huey Cobra or the Snake, was developed from the famous Bell UH-1 Iroquois (or 'Huey'). It entered service in the Vietnam war in 1967, and primarily served to provids fire support for ground troops and escorted transport helicopters. The Huey cobra would go on to also see combat in Grenada, Panama, and Iraq.
