Rose visits Motibai to ask her how to convey the message about Nelson intensifying his search for Laxmibai, so Motibai replies that there is a Laxmibai loyalist who would do the needful. Laxmibai continues to seek help from the neighbouring kingdoms to strengthen her army but alas! If any of them had possessed even an ounce of the love that Laxmibai had for her motherland, then India's history would have been different! Fear of the British and greed for power made all the kings of the other princely states decline from offering help to Laxmibai. Nelson is delighted to hear that Laxmibai and her followers were still wandering and deprived of food and money. Just then, he receives a telegram from Lord Dalhousie saying that he has sent a battalion from Gwalior to take away Jhansi's treasury. Meanwhile, Damodar keeps asking for food, so Laxmibai plucks some fruits and feeds it to Damodar. She then gives it to Chimnabai but Chimnabai flings it saying it's poisonous. Chimnabai continues to complain and curse. Food deprivation and fatigue takes a toll on the people with Laxmibai. Laxmibai is dejected. On the other hand, Motibai tells Rose that the attire of Kranti Guru must be sent to Laxmibai. In Jhansi, it's announced that the people must pay their taxes to the East India Company. However, the people burn their fields so that they don't have to pay taxes! They pay dearly for their defiance. Laxmibai is informed about the fields being burnt, and the messenger gives her Kranti Guru's attire. Laxmibai dons it and vows not to let anybody die hungry. She tells Tatya Guru that only Laxmibai is helpless, not Kranti Guru! Rose prays to the goddess for Laxmibai's well-being. Nelson is stunned to see Rose praying to the goddess!
