*Day 2 – Limestone Cave and Mud Volcano Visit (Baratang Island)*

Our day began very early at 2:00 AM, as we had to start our journey by 3:00 AM to visit the famous limestone caves of **Baratang Island**.

We reached *Jirkatang Check Post* around 4:00 AM. From here, vehicles move in a convoy through the Jarawa Reserve area, and the first convoy departed at 6:00 AM. The distance between Jirkatang and *Middle Strait* is approximately 55 km, and the drive through the dense forest was a unique experience.

At Middle Strait, we boarded a ferry to reach **Baratang Jetty**. From there, we took a speedboat ride through beautiful mangrove creeks to the limestone cave drop point. After getting down, we covered a 1.5 km forest trail on foot. This trek was one of the most exciting parts of our journey, surrounded by lush greenery and natural beauty.

Finally, we reached the stunning **Limestone Caves**, known for their fascinating limestone formations created over thousands of years. The natural stalactites and stalagmites inside the caves were truly mesmerizing.

After returning to Baratang Jetty, we proceeded to visit the nearby **Mud Volcano**. It was interesting to see this rare natural phenomenon where mud is naturally pushed up from beneath the earth’s surface.

Our memorable journey concluded around 4:00 PM. I booked this trip through **Experience Andaman Travel**, and it was very well planned and smoothly organized. Overall, the experience was fantastic and unforgettable.
