The body of Mother Teresa was moved Sunday (7/9) from the
Missionaries of Charity headquarters where she died to a central
Calcutta church for public viewing as thousands of mourners
braved the rain and queued to pay their last respects.

The body of the 87-year-old nun was led through the city, where
she worked among the poorest of the poor, on a white van,
decorated with jasmine flowers. Mourners were led by Sister
Nirmala, who succeeded Mother Teresa as head of the order.

Indian Prime Minister Inder Kumar Gujral, dressed in black and
accompanied by his wife Sheila, paid his tribute at the
St.Thomas on Sunday.
