God Accommodated Israel with A King Pt1

Описание к видео God Accommodated Israel with A King Pt1

The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is the history of
God’s willingness to work with an immature selfish people in order
to take them higher and partner with them in His plan to redeem the
world and reconcile men back to Himself. Therefore, things such as
God’s allowance and regulation of polygamy, slavery, execution,
divorce, etc. are temporary accommodations to fallen creatures that
He wants to save. He would save them and accommodate certain
modes of thinking and practice until He was able to convince them of
His more perfect ideal.

This, of course, would be risky in itself. God would be at risk
of being misunderstood by both the people He accommodated as well
as those of us throughout the centuries who may read the divinely
inspired written Word of God. Both could be misled into believing
that God endorsed these practices rather than merely and temporarily
tolerating and regulating those things men had already set in their minds to do. Nonetheless, God is always willing to take risks for the
betterment of the creatures He loves. (The Bible Principle of Accommodation p.8)
