Basic Concepts of Radar Cross Section (RCS)

This mini lecture explains the concept of radar cross section, plane wave, and polarization of plane wave in Cartesian and spherical coordinate system. Antenna RCS is also explained in this lecture, showing the relation of structural mode RCS and antenna mode RCS of an antenna.

RCS of an antenna in CST. RCS application is extremely vital in miltary warfare. Without RCS reduction every F-22 will have been crashed right after it enters enemy air-space. Enjoy!
