Curbed Lasko 1888 18" Cyclone Pedestal Fan with Remote Control | Initial Checkout

The initial checkout of an 18" Lasko Cyclone oscillating pedestal fan with remote. There are multiple versions of this fan, I believe this one is model 1888. It is dated 11/10, making it likely to have been purchased in the Summer of 2011. This would have originally come with a remote. It did not come to me with the remote, but I do have one floating around the house somewhere that should work with it.

I got this for free off the curb. The guard and blades are seemingly unused, yet the motor housing is almost demolished and the cord has copious amounts of slices through it.

I am pleasantly surprised with this unit. Granted I don't expect much from these newer models, but this exceeded my expectations. The unit is relatively quiet, surprisingly powerful, and draws very little power for the size and air moved. Perhaps most shocking of all, the blade is in perfect balance, which for a Lasko/Air King product, is quite a feat.
