Should You Hire A Wedding Videographer in 2025? l An Honest Perspective

20 years from now what would you pay to hear certain people speak or see certain people that mean a lot to you. When it comes to wedding films I believe your day is not just about the day itself but also the people that you have chosen to share the day with. In this video I wanted to have an honest conversation about why I think couples should have a wedding videographer.

This year marks my 10th year of filming weddings and recently I was asked why I do what I do and why I chose weddings as my main passion when it comes to video. For me I value family and milestone moments and having people trust me with that feels like a big deal and it gives me a high that filming other things does not.

I made this video to try and speak about the importance and potential that wedding videography brings. I made this video to show love to my fellow creators and speak up because these days I see and hear from a lot of other wedding videographers that bookings are slow and when it comes to vendors we are often over looked or booked last.

In the wedding film industry there’s been a lot of talk of next year and how it’s been a low year of bookings for many and as a result I wanted to approach next year how I do anytime I’m faced with adversity. Im processing this stage as taking a step back to move forward. Reassessing my approach and my values and what I’m really trying to do in this industry. For me I want my couples to feel something when they see there films. I switched cameras, experimented and just embraced learning new things. It’s times like these that define us and show how we adapt to change and demand. For me the lack of bookings and negative vibes are actually inspiring me to try new things and further prove why I think wedding videography is important.
