The state of Haryana is a picture of contrasts- on one hand, it is counted among the states having the highest per capita income. On the other hand, it suffers such a massive problem of unemployment that it has had the highest rates of unemployment in the country at least 30 times- if you observe the monthly data from 2016.
The contrast is clear: Haryana is rich but at the same time, a lot of people in Haryana are unemployed.
So, what are the reasons behind this?
