"The Future is Bright" | TOMBOGO [Official Documentary]

TOMBOGO is proud to debut its Spring/Summer 2024 Paris Fashion Week Documentary "The Future is Bright". This captivating film dives into the world of designer Tommy Bogo – offering an intimate, firsthand look at Bogo’s unique creative process along with the resilience and adaptability needed to turn dreams into reality.

Filmed by Anthony Campusano, “The Future is Bright” documentary follows Bogo in the summer of 2023 as he prepares for the brand’s debut at Paris Fashion Week in June. Audiences witness Bogo's creative journey and the countless hours involved as he sets out to design and showcase a 30-piece collection for the Spring/Summer 2024 season. Throughout the process, Bogo explores all new silhouettes, innovative fabrications, materials, and more, reflecting the brand's commitment to continuous evolution through design.

"A majority of my community doesn't get to see what goes down behind the scenes of a TOMBOGO runway show. From the outside looking in, all people really get to see is the final product. But there's so much more to the show than just those 15 to 20 minutes on the runway. Not only did I want this film to illustrate how much work goes into a Paris Fashion Week show, but also on a personal level show how much of myself I pour into these moments.” – Tommy Bogo

The collection, also titled “The Future Is Bright”, serves as a reference to Bogo’s growth trajectory – each year with its highs and lows leading to the next phase of his creative and professional journey. Originally from Oakland, CA, Bogo was inspired by his hometown’s culture of self-starting artists and has evolved his brand from selling printed t-shirts during his high school years to now presenting official collections at New York & Paris Fashion Weeks. Now based in Los Angeles, Bogo uses his brand as an outlet for continuously learning and growing through the process of designing.

Alongside Bogo’s design process, the documentary also provides a behind-the-scenes look at how TOMBOGO’s runway show was produced – spotlighting key elements like how Bogo scored the show with original music that he wrote & performed (hinting at a larger project the young creative has in the works).
