The combination of a windy spring and the accretion of a group of eclectic (and possibly fanatical) paddlers has allowed for many downwind opportunities so far this year. My 40th run of the year, which happened to be on Mille Lacs, was remarkably clean in the middle section, allowing for long rides and easy linking. While Zach certainly needs no help paddling having an Olympic biathlete in the back seat sure doesn’t hurt, those guys could really go!
