Signalis: “Isle of the death”

Before you read the whole description, I strongly suggest that you give “Signalis” a try in order to avoid most of the spoilers.

In the game Signalis there is this special painting called: “isle of the death”, and Ariane (who is quite the emblematic figure who also happens to be the main objective of our brave protagonist) seems to be quite obsessed by said painting, or at least that is what the game developers want us to believe since it can be found pretty much anywhere inside the game area.

This painting, just like the game environment, emits this subtle yet so deep aura of fear and insecurity, yet (at least in my opinion) in this darkness there is a tiny amount of freedom which is perceived. This freedom is what Ariane is searching for, that perhaps can be only found in death
