In this video I visit the Smith Mountain Cooperative WMA in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. This WMA is owned by Appalachian Power Company, but managed by the Virginia Game Commission and is open for public access. It was an adventurous and intense drive up the very steep and rough road to the top of the ridge of the mountain, where we visited the true summit, which is also the high point for Pittsylvania County at 2038 feet above sea level. We also hiked down to a rock outcrop for some really nice views of Smith Mountain Lake, an impoundment of the Roanoke River. Thanks so much for watching!
