Have hygge and lingonberries also

The UK contains other nations,
And we’ll start at the top:
Edinburgh, Scotland,
Belfast, Northern Ireland
Cardiff, Wales has the oldest record shop
Board a double-decker at a London, England stop
These are the countries of the United Kingdom,
Which shares a capital with London, England

Helsinki, Finland has lakes unknown to ya
Hang by Tallinn Bay in Tallinn, Estonia
Riga, Latvia has art nouveau mania
Play some basketball in Vilnius, Lithuania

Paris, France, Brussels, Belgium
Amsterdam The Hague, Netherlands
Luxembourg, Luxembourg
Monaco, Monaco
Berlin, Germany tore down a wall not too long ago
Vaduz, Liechtenstein, Bern, Switzerland
Vienna, Austria was the home of Beethoven
(Even though he was German)

Lisbon, Portugal, Madrid, Spain
Andorra la Vella, Andorra is in the Pyrenees mountain range
Valletta, Malta, Rome, Italy
Look for the tiny countries of San Marino and Vatican City
Zagreb, Croatia, Ljubljana, Slovenia
Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina
After Belgrade, Serbia, you’ll ask “Where did the day go?”
You spent it at the lake in Podgorica, Montenegro
Tirana, Albania, then to the east:
Pristina, Kosovo
Skopja, North Macedonia
Athens, Greece

Warsaw, Poland, Prague, Czechia
Bratislava, Slovakia
Then to the south the capital of Hungary is Budapest
Transylvania’s in Romania, but the capital’s Bucharest
Kyiv, Ukraine, Chisinau, Moldova
Minsk, Belarus, Sofia, Bulgaria

Some countries have parts in both Europe and Asia
Like Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia
Also Cyprus and Türkiye, Kazakhstan and Russia
They dip their toes in Europe
And Moscow is in Europe
And most Russians live in Europe
but we name them all in Asia
