Balu wakes up one morning to realise that a special day was nearing. He begins to plan something with the rest of the family, but ensures Smita is kept in the dark. When Smita discovers that the whole house is keeping a secret from her, she tries desperately to find out what it is. However, her efforts prove to be in vain as no amount of persistence can get them to spill the beans. Pained by the thought of being left out, she decides to leave the house.

'Gutur Gu' is a silent series which follows the life of Balu. Balu lives with his family, which includes his wife Smita, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kumar. He is supported by his friend Pappu Maharaj, who is also the family’s cook. But Balu’s innocence and enthusiasm ensure that he finds adventure even in the most mundane and dull life situations.
