India, Turkey and US team help rescue Chinese vessel. A crew of 24 sailors on a Chinese cargo ship were released after being detained for 12 hours in the Arabian Sea, thanks to the cooperative efforts of a multi-national rescue team. After receiving a distress call from Chinese officials, the Indian Navy immediately sent a warning message to the unwelcome sea farers, while a nearby US aircraft carrier, a Turkish navy vessel and two Chinese navy vessels were also mobilized to assist. As the detainers fled the ship, her crew was escorted safely to its Indian port destination.
