2024年07月25日午前中に発生した豪雨で、山形県酒田市八幡地域・大沢地区での災害状況。2024年07月27日に撮影した映像をまとめました。

まずは、後ロ山から大平沢への橋で、荒生木材さんが流木を撤去している様子。そして、大沢地区・中台のあたりから、自衛隊の皆さんが、車で入れない青沢や南野前田まで歩いていって、住民の皆さんを避難所へと連れていく様子。上青沢や北青沢の災害状況などをドローン撮影。住民の皆さんは、このような大変な状況の中でも、ご近所の皆さんと協力しながら、何とか頑張ろうとしています。山水道と発電機があれば大丈夫と、避難所に行かずにご自宅で生活されている人が多い状況で、水道が通じ始めた集落も出てきているようです。大沢コミセンでは、水道は通じている状況。あとは、道路と電気。食料も不足してきている民家もある模様。まだ、青沢に入っての撮影は時間が足りず出来なかったので、明日以降で行ってみたいと思います。

Firstly, the video shows Arao Lumber clearring away driftwood from the bridge connecting Ushiroyama and Ohirasawawa. Next, we see members of the Self-Defense Forces walking to Aozawa and Minamino Maeta, areas that cannot be accessed by vehicle, from around Nakadai in the Osawa district, to evacuate residents to shelters. A drone was used to capture aerial footage of Kami-Aozawa and Kita-Aozawa, revealing the extent of the damage. Despite the difficult circumstances, residents are working together to help each other. Many people are choosing to stay at home rather than go to shelters, believing that they can manage as long as they have a mountain water and a generator. Some neighborhoods have already had their water supply restored. In the Osawa Community Center, the water supply is functioning. The main challenges now are restoring roads and electricity. Some households are also experiencing food shortages. Due to time constraints, we were unable to film in Aozawa today, but we plan to do so tomorrow.

About Sakta City, Yamagata Prefecture:
Sakata City (酒田市) is a gorgeous harbour town in Yamagata, Northeast Japan, known as Tohoku region. Located along the coast of the Sea of Japan, it’s only an hour away from Tokyo by plane, and it’s rich in nature, culture and tradition. The city has Mount Chōkai (鳥海山) on its northern border. Shonai Heiya (庄内平野) is renowned as a prime rice production area. Sakata City is located by the Mogami River, which is regarded as one of the three most rapid rivers of Japan. The river rises from southern Yamagata Prefecture, flows to the north, and turns west then flows into the Sea of Japan at Sakata City. The Mogami River in Japanese poetry, with the influential 17th-century poet Matsuo Bashō (松尾芭蕉) composing several haiku regarding the river during his travels.
Oshin (おしん) is a Japanese serialized NHK morning television drama and it was one of the country's most watched serials of all time and has aired in 68 other countries. Some of Oshin’s footage was filmed in Sakata City. An award-winning movie called Okuribito(おくりびと) was filed in Sakata City.
