Plane Spotting Amsterdam Schiphol 11-8-2020 | Beautiful Morning & Pingvellir

Okay, this is a bit crazy! To my astonishment, I found out that I had a plane spotting compilation from Amsterdam Schiphol in my archive which I never uploaded! I share absolutely all my footage with you guys, so even though it is four years late, I am sharing this with you now. We are back in 2020, the year the covid 19 pandemic started. Four years does not seem that long ago but the aviation world was so different back then! In this video you will see multiple aircraft you no longer see at Schiphol today. On this summers day in August 2020, I started spotting in the very early morning at the Kaagbaan for runway 06 arrival during sunrise. I barely made it in time for the China Southern Airbus A380. This plane is retired now! As the sun rose, other highlight catches came in. Think of the KLM Cargo Boeing 747-400F, United B787-10, and a Singapore Cargo 747-400F. I filmed an Air Bridge Cargo Boeing 747-8F! Remember them? Very frequent visitors to Schiphol back in the day. They are no longer flying to Europe today for obvious reasons. The Easyjet A321neo was a first catch for me. 4 years later I still only have seen 12 of them. Air Baltic send in their Lithuanian flag liveried Bombardier CS300 (now the Airbus A220). Next I moved to the Polderbaan for take off's. Here I got my second Easyjet A321neo and the same cargo 747's which I caught landing earlier. Also notice that pretty much all the KLM aircraft still have the 100 years logo here, and some still have the older paint scheme. The Air Belgium Airbus A340-300 was a big highlight. That flew for Surinam Airways if I remember correctly. Their A340's are history now. The Turkish Airlines Boeing 787-9 was a nice catch too. I only have seen six of those today. The TUI Belgium B737-800 OO-JAV did not have a TUI logo on the fuselage and China Cargo Airlines still had a livery back then. What they have today you really can't even call a livery anymore... 2020 was the last year of operation for the KLM Boeing 747's. They stopped flying passengers early in the year and flew some cargo through the rest of the year, mainly because of the covid-19 pandemic. In this compilation you'll see PH-BFT climbing out of Schiphol, sounding brilliant. The day ended for me with the catch of the Icelandair Boeing 757-300 called Pingvellir, painted in the colours of the Icelandic flag. Somehow this remains the only time that I have caught this bird.

So there you have it. A four year old video by now, but just uploaded today! I hope you enjoy it!

On this day I was spotting together with Casey from Casey Planespotting! ‪@CPlanespotting‬
It is thanks to him that I found out that I never uploaded the video from this day! He's got a great Youtube channel aswell, certainly worth subscribing!    / @cplanespotting

As this is a video from 2020, the 2020 outro makes a return!
