Hello Everyone! Welcome back to my channel :) As some may have noticed, I did a name change to my business as I will no longer doing candles so having Wick-n-Suds was not ideal. I changed it to Lo.E Creations which is the 3 initials of my kiddos and lets me expand into other areas such as crochet and embroidery. All that said, thanks for hanging around while I was away.

Here is one of my first soap recipe. Its a low cleansing bar that I feel doesn't leave your skin feeling dry. If you would like to try it, please feel free - It is in percentages form as I've found that is the best way to work with recipes since it allows you to change the size easily. Also, I would suggest getting into the habit of converting your recipes to grams rather than oz. Every oz cup is not the same as the shapes always differ however when using grams it is more precise (I've found) so try it out if you like, I think you'll love the results more and your batters will be more consistent.

To convert to grams what I did was - I used the same measuring cup I always used and when I added in my oils. I would add in my, 2oz for example, once it's all in my container I would change the mode on my scale to grams and get the reading from there. so next time I would pour to the gram and not the oz. hope I didnt confuse anyone lol

Soap Recipe
Olive oil 50%
Castor oil 13%
Coconut Oil 15%
Stearic Acid 22%

the results are:
42 hardness
10 cleansing
55 conditioning
22 bubbles
When doing sugar I add about 1tsp per pound of oils same goes for the Kaolin Clay.

The extra water that I do add at the end I do not discount at the beginning since I cook at a low 32% water discount that the tiny amount that I do add does not affect.

Here is the link to Valerie Mosher which I found to be a HUGE help in making my soap batches more fluid. As I continue to make more batches you will see that using the same method the consistency will differ depending solely on the fragrance oil used :)
