When I first was writing Ashes, I hadn't a name in mind for it. Heck, I barely had an idea of what it was about, but as it took shape, I started to see what it was, and what it could be. As the piece ebbed and flowed, like how a fire ebbs and flows throughout its life, I saw a vision, a unifying vision, that carried me forward to the end of the piece. As the fire leaves behind it's ashes, we all leave something, some impact, no matter how small, on this world.
