There's an update to the current Viral Nightmare demo which features various bug fixes as well as general improvements and changes to how X handles as well as enemy behavior and Nightmare Soul economy. Since this is more of a showcase vid for various changes, other details like the story and such will not be covered, as that's already been done in my original playthrough vid for the game.

-Charge shots are no longer lost during cutscenes or when taking damage
-Shock Buffer price lowered due to charge shot changes
-Can now swing the saber and charge at the same time
-Nightmare souls are worth more so there's way less of a grind (easy to get the Life Up+ part before any bosses now so the game is slightly easier as a result)
-Checkpoint changes
-Enemy behavior is less relentless so there should be fewer instances of enemies chasing you from offscreen now
-Ultimate Buster part name changed and has lower cooldown so it's less clunky to use
-Charged Meteor Rain is now more effective vs. Heatnix

There are various other changes which can be found in the download page's Update History, but these are the most significant gameplay changes imo. Overall a very pleasant list of changes as the game is much smoother to play already because of them.
