Boys' Bedroom Ideas – IKEA Home Tour (Episode 117)

In Episode 117 of IKEA Home Tour, the Squad travels to Miami, FL to help make over a bedroom shared by two growing brothers.

Matthew and Santiago share a bedroom which they're quickly outgrowing. With one entering middle school and the other in fourth grade, the brothers have a lot of toys, books, and other belongings, but a lack of sensible storage solutions. With one desk, they have limited space to do their homework, so they sometimes have to take turns or one has to use the dining room table. They have a good sized closet, but it's too cluttered and there's no real organization. Finally, there's very little floor space to play and build.

Thanks to the IKEA Home Tour Squad, the boys' shared bedroom has been transformed into a functional and fun space that can adapt to their growing needs. To give Matthew and Santiago storage space for their building blocks, the Squad chose the TROFAST unit with toy storage bins. For additional storage space, the Squad installed two seperate PAX units featuring drawers and shelves to keep everything organized — and it comes with a ten-year warranty! Of course, the shared boys' room isn't complete without a NORDDAL bunkbed! The bunkbed is made of solid wood and can be converted to two twin beds when they boys get a little older. To give Matthew and Santiago a space to do their homework, the Squad picked the LINNMON / ALEX table, which features a dry erase surface so they can draw and be creative.

The Crespo family in Miami, Florida, needs a bedroom design that will work better for their two growing sons.
