Описание к видео [Ep03] Mountain Bike Dream Build: 2024 Atherton Bikes AM.170x | Unicorns Do Exist, Part 3 | MTB (4k)

🙂 Hiya!

After more than a decade of mountain biking, I decided it was time to create my dream bike… so that’s why I chose Atherton Bikes! I selected the 2024 AM.170x 🦄 as the foundation for my build.

📺 Episode 03 includes bolting on more components, installing the crank and rear mech, and a full brake install with hose trim and brake bleed.
This multi-part film documents the entire assembly process in my garage, without any professional mechanic or outside help—just the tools I’ve collected and the skills I’ve honed over the years.
If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to leave them below. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my film.
Thank you 🙂

🎬 EPISODE 03 VIDEO NOTES
Moving forward with assembly, Part 07 was originally titled “Control” because the plan was to install everything I actually touch (handlebar/stem/grips, pedals, saddle, etc.) but things changed last minute so it became a general “bolting on more parts” clip instead. During Part 08 I didn’t install the chain with the rest of the drivetrain because off-camera I was experimenting with a “neutral gear) mod; however, the AM.170 didn’t seem to need it, so it was not done (and thus, not filmed.)

Part 09 was the part I was dreading because even if I am pretty decent at it, I still don’t like bleeding brakes. Fun fact #1: I do listen to 80’s New Wave in the garage, but for this part of the video I replaced the background music with licensed music to avoid any copyright issues. Fun Fact #2: There’s a small continuity error in Part 09, can you find it?
