Welcome to Fairfield, Connecticut! Here is a tour of this vibrant and quaint community.

Fairfield is located in southwestern Connecticut on the Long Island Sound and is considered part of CT’s Goldcoast.. It is just 50 miles from NYC, has 3 trains stations and 2 major highways which run through the town making it a perfect location for commuters or those wanting easy access to travel.

Fairfield has 12 distinctive neighborhoods each having its own special features from luxury properties, charming homes, close knit neighborhoods, walkable and tree lined streets, to beach living giving residents many lifestyle options.

Fairfield has a vibrant walkable town center with a variety of small businesses, boutiques, and a lively restaurant scene. There a wide array of choices from fine dining, to casual and family friendly, historic taverns, and plenty of outside experiences. There is an energy and excitement at these local restaurants where residents look forward to their dining experience. With over 100 dining options, Fairfield has become the new go-to destination in Fairfield County.

Amenities in Fairfield promote a healthy lifestyle with 2 public golf courses, town gym, tennis courts, sidewalks, and a variety of conversation areas with walking and hiking trails. There are also 3 private country clubs available for residents with first class golf, tennis and swimming facilities.

There is an assortment of entertainment options where you can enjoy performing arts, live music venues, and museums which are open year round. Popular annual events in town include the Memorial Day parade which runs in the center of town, annual Dogwood Festival in Greenfield Hill featuring local craftsman, weekly Farmers market on the town green that operates in the Spring and summer and the not to be missed spectacular 4th of July Fireworks displayed over Jennings Beach.

One of my favorite highlights in Fairfield is the 5 miles of shoreline on Long Island sound including 5 beaches, pavilions, boat lockers where you can store a sailboat or kayak, playgrounds for families and 2 marina’s for you boat lovers. Lots of options to swim, fish, walk or just relax with family and friends. Just off the shoreline is the Penfield Reef lighthouse, a historical landmark and a focal point along the beaches.

The Fairfield Public school system is consistently ranked as one of the best in Connecticut. Fairfield is home to 2 nationally acclaimed private universities, Fairfield University and Sacred Heart University providing the town the energy and admiration of the institutions throughout the community.

Fairfield has something for everyone making this town the perfect location to work, live and play. It’s no wonder Fairfield is consistently listed as one of the best places to live.
