This talk explores theories by those who imagine futuristic civilisations like Nikolai Kardashev and the potential causes for the end of humanity so that we all can play a small part in making it a little further to the goal of a universal civilisation. Eshaan Menon is a Software Engineering graduate and multiple award-winning hackathon hacker. A futurist at heart, he has always been fascinated by the concept of a spacefaring civilisation. Eshaan was elected as a representative for Asia at the Youth Advisory Council of the World Federation of UN Associations for the 2018-2021 term. Eshaan Menon is currently one of the two regional representatives for Asia at the World Federation of UN Associations Youth Advisory Council and was a YSEALI Academic Fellow for Civic Engagement.

Starting out as a delegate in Model UN conferences, Eshaan organised and chaired multiple conferences such as SelangorMUN, APUMUN, AMUNC and JOINMUN over the course of his time in university. As a Software Engineer and award-winning hackathon hacker, Eshaan managed to find a place for himself in the discussion around restrictive internet laws and volunteered with the UN Association of Malaysia throughout his time in university. Now a graduate, Eshaan is back to inspire change among his fellow young Malaysians beyond the monumental change of government in 2018 so that young people can rise to the occasion at this critical juncture and build the New Malaysia they want to see.
