On-line conversation with Edgar Cahn and Christine Gray from TimeBanks, and community development professionals from Romania, Bulgaria, France, Latvia, Republic of Moldavia and Kenya. The title we've chosen together with Edgar and Christine for the event, 'Building a Renewed Economy. Changing what the Economy Values' is not triggered by the outbreak of COVID-19, but way back in time, by the 'outbreak' of the core economy within our civilization. The current crises is just highlighting more interrogations on why we, as human beings, have got into such situation and what options do we have if we want to contribute to sustainable alternatives. Because we have options, lots of them.

About Edgar. 'Edgar is the creator of Time Dollars and the founder of TimeBanks USA, as well as the co-founder of the National Legal Services Program and the Antioch School of Law (now the David A. This is the second Periphery Inc. event from a series of talks and workshops in which we are looking to nurture the space for less weirdly in vogue motivational and inspirational speeches and presentations that are flooding the present events and the on-line content, delivered by well known or emerging professionals. We are looking more on informal and applied discussions among communities of practitioners interested in producing good change in their fields of expertise, each in different phases of their journeys. Through this series of discussions we are interested in the process of desacralizing the world around us, where the focus should be on inter-institutional and inter-disciplinary collaboration and active learning not on admiring good quality human beings and professionals from the distance.

We are happy we are starting this working closely with Community Knowledge Works, while having the amazing team from the Association of Community Relations (ARC) as friends and partners.
