A CUT BELL YAMAHA?! Yamaha YSL-891ZD Trombone Unboxing

Of all of the innovations the trombone world has seen the past handful of years none has become more popular or prolific as the detachable bell flare. Players have continued to gravitate towards the cut-bell design for it's portability and it's unique response and sound characteristics and manufacturers have taken note, with nearly every major trombone makers now offering cut-bell options.
We heard rumors of a Yamaha version of the cut bell of their classic 891Z small bore tenor going back to last summer and when we learned that they were in production we jumped at the chance to bring one in! We had some conceptions of what the cut bell might do and the 891ZD certainly met those expectations plus more! Take a listen and let us know what you think!
